Australia’s leading universities are embracing the HealthFusion TC to help tomorrow’s health care professionals provide patients with the best possible treatment solutions.
The Australian HealthFusion Team Challenge (OzHFTC) was held on the 7 August 2009 at The University of Queensland. It was the first interprofessional education initiative of its kind in Australia.
More than 450 students and staff, representing a dozen different health professions, watched the Monash "HOT" team triumph over well prepared teams from Griffith University, Queensland University of Technology, Curtin University and The University of Queensland.
The University teams publically presented and fielded questions on management plans they had developed for a real life client case. The teams were given just four weeks to develop these plans.
Two of the participating universities, The University of Queensland and Curtain University of Technology, held their own HealthFusion TC's earlier in the year. The winning teams from these local competitions were the chosen teams that were fielded in the national event. The other three competing teams from Griffith University, Monash University and Queensland University of Technology sent scratch teams directly to the event.
Congratulations to all of the student competitors for presenting such high-quality management plans!
